Vigna
PIRCHSCHRAIT
Gewürztraminer

A historic parcel within Vigna Kolbenhof with the lowest sun exposure in the vineyard due to its north-facing orientation. The soil, enriched with noble clay, offers ideal conditions for slow and balanced ripening. The increased shading lends the wine remarkable freshness and a surprising ageing potential. Vinified separately since 2006, this Gewürztraminer reveals tertiary aromas that evolve gradually over time. Aged for ten years on fine lees in stainless steel, it develops depth and complexity while retaining its hallmark traits: elegance and vitality that clearly reflect its origin.

Tasting notes

Very well textured due to ten years maturation on the fine lees in 500-litre barrels. Elegant aromas of toasted bread, medlar, blossom honey, and dried fruit. Discreet fruit sweetness and intense minerality gained from prolonged maturation.

Vigna Wine

Vigna signifies wines made from grapes cultivated in a single, precisely defined plot.
The more precisely defined the origin, the more distinctive the wine.
